Picture Purrfect prides itself on offering cage-free grooming for your pet. In order to keep a stress free, safe environment for your baby, we groom by appointment only and each pet is given a specific time based on services rendered. Because each pet is an individual and requires a different amount of time to be completely groomed, prices will vary. A price range can be given prior to your first grooming based on the services you are requesting; however, we cannot give you a solid quote until we actually meet your pet.

Safety First

ALL Dogs must be on a leash and ALL Cats must be in a carrier. Please make sure your baby has a secure collar or harness with identification.

Vaccinations

ALL pets must have a current Rabies vaccination from a veterinarian on file. Proof must be shown at the first appointment. Tags are not considered proof as there is no identifying information as to the pet the tag was issued to.

Cancellations/ No Shows

Your spa appointment is a reservation for services and for the individualized attention we provide each pet. We can only take a limited number of appointments each day. A missed appointment is a loss of income to a small business and our groomers. If an appointment is missed without a 48 hour notification, a $35.00 “No Show”/ “Late Cancellation” Fee will be charged and your next groom will need to be paid for in advance of your next appointment.

Rescheduled Appointments

We understand that things sometimes come up and plans change. To insure that our babies regular grooming schedule remains a priority, appointments that are rescheduled will incur a $20 fee that will need to be paid before another appointment can be set. 

Late Pick-ups

At the time of drop off, you will be given an approximate time (average 60-90 mins) for pick up. You will receive a text message about 15 min prior to the end of the service. Your pet must be picked up within 30 minutes of the text.  If you are late, an additional fee will be added to accommodate the time spent caring for and keeping your pet comfortable until you arrive. Late Pick-up Fees are as follows: $5 for every 10 minutes PER PET after the 30 minute grace period. Pets not picked up by closing will be charged a $50.00 boarding fee.

Terms of Service

Aggressive Behavior and Bite Policy

Owners MUST inform Picture Purrfect Grooming if your pet bites, has bitten, or is aggressive towards people, other pets or specific grooming procedures. Safety equipment may be used including but not limited to muzzles, E-collars, vet wrap, etc. These items are not intended to harm your pet, and protect both the pet and the groomer. We reserve the right to refuse/stop services for such pets at any time before or during the grooming process, and a $25 Aggressive Dog Fee will be applied in addition to the regular grooming charge. Should a groom not be able to be completed due to aggression, you will be charged based on the amount of time that the groom was attempted based on 15 min increments, charged at a rate of $18.50 per 15 min. Any bite requiring medical attention will be reported to the health department as required by Pennsylvania law and any consequences resulting from the incident are the sole responsibility of the parent.

De-Matting

Removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles or skin folds trapped in the mats. Severe matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet's skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. The after effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of the hair to re-grow. The increased level of expertise, attention and time it takes to de-mat your pets will be charged at a rate of $18.50 per 15 min interval in addition to the $75 base rate for a one hour groom. 

 

Fleas/Ticks

We will contact you as soon as we notice fleas. If fleas are found during grooming, your pet will be treated with CAPSTAR. CAPSTAR will begin to kill the fleas within 20 min to ensure that your pet is completely flea free when they leave the salon and prevent the transfer of fleas to our other clients. A $15 fee will be added for the CAPSTAR and additional charges will apply based on the time it takes to both complete the groom and thoroughly clean and sanitize the grooming area before our next client. We will NOT use pesticide dips or sprays on your pet. Ticks found will be removed. If ticks are found, we strongly suggest that you have your pet tested for Lyme Disease. Once your pet leaves the salon, it is your responsibility to get them on an appropriate preventative as soon as possible to prevent reinfestation.

 

ACCIDENTS/MEDICAL CONCERNS

While we always strive to put safety first, when working with animals, there is always the possibility that an accident could occur. Possible instances include cuts, nicks, scratches, kwiking of nails, etc. Every effort will be made to ensure your pet is groomed as safely as possible. In the event that your pet should need medical attention during the grooming service, this agreement serves as permission for Picture Purrfect to obtain immediate veterinary treatment for your pet should it be deemed necessary. We will do our best to contact you first, but if contact cannot be made we will take your pet to your authorized vet or to the nearest vet that is available. 

USE OF MEDIA:

By signing this agreement, you give Picture Purrfect Grooming permission to photograph and/or video your pet while in the salon. Picture Purrfect maintains the sole ownership of any and all photos, videos, social media content, and marketing materials. 

HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT:

By signing this contract you agree to hold Picture Purrfect Grooming, it's owners, operators, employees, officers and directors harmless from any damage, loss, or claim arising from any condition of the undersigned pet owner, either known or unknown to Picture Purrfect. 

All customers/clients at Picture Purrfect Groomer agree to the terms of service as stated on this site. It is the customer's/client's responsibility to stay up to date with any changes in policy.
